User Data Deletion Instructions

You can ask WapDesk to delete your personal data at any time, including data we received through Facebook Login, the WhatsApp Business Platform or Instagram. This page explains how. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle data.

1. Stop access (disconnect)

Disconnecting stops WapDesk from receiving new data from that account:

• In WapDesk: open Settings → WhatsApp, or the Instagram page, and click Disconnect. The stored access token is deleted.
• On Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → find WapDesk → Remove.
• On Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites → find WapDesk → Remove.
• WhatsApp Business: in Meta Business Settings → Accounts → WhatsApp accounts → Partners, remove WapDesk.

Disconnecting does not erase data already stored. To erase it, also send a deletion request.

2. Request deletion

1. Email [privacy@your-domain] from the email address registered with WapDesk, with the subject "WapDesk Data Deletion Request".
2. Tell us what to delete: your whole account and workspace, a connected WhatsApp or Instagram account, or specific contacts or conversations. If you used Facebook or Instagram login, include your Facebook or Instagram username.
3. Do not send passwords, access tokens or OTPs. We will never ask for them.

If you are a customer of a business that messages you through WapDesk, you can ask that business directly, or write to us with your phone number and the business name and we will pass the request to the business and help it complete the deletion.

3. What happens next

• We confirm receipt within 2 business days and may ask you to verify that you own the account.
• After verification, the data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised from live systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.
• We email you a confirmation with a reference number once deletion is complete.

We delete: profile and login details, connected-account identifiers and access tokens, contacts, conversations, media, templates, campaigns, automations and logs linked to you. We keep only what the law requires, such as GST invoices and payment records, and a minimal record that the deletion was carried out.
